History

The Sydenham Community Curling Club has been a fixture in the Wallaceburg / North Kent sports and social scene since its inception in 1963. The club, its volunteers, and its members take the “community” part of its name very seriously.

While the club fulfills its prime mandate of providing curling training, recreation, and competition in an inclusive atmosphere; it also reaches outside those parameters to a wider community mandate.

From providing “learn to curl” programs for children, to organizing leagues for seniors, to partnerships with local school boards, and occasional free use of the facilities; the Sydenham Community Curling Club is part of the community.

The Sydenham Community Curling Club is located in Wallaceburg, Ontario on the banks of the Sydenham river. We offer four sheets of ice, a fully licensed bar and lounge, full locker rooms, and a full kitchen for food preparation and catering requirements. The club facilities are available for rental for functions like stag and does, business meetings, Christmas parities, and similar.

We are excited to be celebrating 60 years of curling in our community.
