Volunteers Clean the SCCC Ahead of the Season

Hey everyone! Big shoutout to all the awesome folks who came down to Sydenham Community Curling Club tonight. A bunch of us got together and gave the place a solid clean-up to kick off the curling season right.

Every corner of the club got some love – from the entrance to the ice. We had teams sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sprucing up the locker rooms. And, of course, we spent time getting the ice just right for the games ahead.

The lounge area got a little facelift too. Freshly polished tables, rearranged chairs, and super clear windows. The view’s even better now!

But hey, it wasn’t all just work. We had a blast catching up, swapping old curling stories, and just having a good time together. That’s what it’s all about, right? The club’s not just about the game, but the great people and community vibes.

Big thanks to everyone who pitched in: Randy and Nancy Bechard, Gus and Cathy Lalonde, Deb Aarssen, Sue Poole, Bill Verbeem, Cathy Bertilini, Betty Meyskens, Jane Manekee, Jared Sweet, Tracy Maxim, Tony and Patti Metayer, Cheryl Apers, Luanne Berkvens, Harry Courtis, and the twins – Janice Gurd and Janet Lashmore. And of course, Doug Teeter and Scott Arnold for their hard work on the ice and ‘spazzywoman’ for taking all the photos.

Cheers to the upcoming season and all the fun times at the SCCC! 🥌🎉
